    The extension works with popular social media platforms, like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and Ask.fm. The extension display its drop-down menu only when you’re on one of those websites; otherwise, it won’t work.

    Speaking of the drop-down menu, I can’t really say that I’m a fan of the colors or the design. Also, the labels on the buttons aren’t exactly clear, so, at first glance, this may look like a less than intuitive add-on. But, in fact, you only need to click on the “Normal” button to get what you want.

    You’ll then be prompted to another window where you’ll see the progress of your download. Once this is done, you have to press Ctrl+S to actually save the pictures on your computer. There also a few other options that may or may not influence your download, but it is not immediately clear what they do.

    Even though the whole process isn’t the most intuitive, it’s probably quicker than you would expect, and certainly faster than it would be to download each photo one by one.

    I can’t really call DownAlbum a great extension. The uninspired design and the cryptic text don’t make it an easy choice. However, if you’re looking for a simple and quick way to download lots of images from Facebook albums, Instagram, Pinterest etc., then DownAlbum is indeed an add-on that does its job well and a great time saver.
