We, as humans, thrive off it as it influences our emotions and actions. Luckily, we are blessed with such wonderful art that can bring joy to our lives, and today we have plenty of ways to listen to our favorite songs and artists every time we wish.

    Spotimo, a combination of the best features from Spotify and Windows Groove Media Player, is here to bring you closer to the music that refreshes your soul and boosts your spirit, as sometimes there is nothing that can enhance your mood as much as listening to a song, through the lyrics, tune, or the combination of both.

    Although it is still in Beta, this application has the potential to become a game-changer. Compared to Spotify, I feel that the user interface of Spotimo is less cluttered. For example, in Spotimo you can get to the rest of an Artist's work way easier. On top of that, it natively supports Window's Groove music player UI.

    When you first launch the app, you are prompted to log in either with your Facebook account or the one for Spotify. It would be awesome if in the future you could stream your OneDrive library for example, directly through Spotimo, as right now this feature is lacking.

    On the left side, you have the navigation menus and shortcuts panel. If you click on "Browse", a list of categories based on genres and moods will pop out. It is a really nice way of browsing music through these lists. There is a tab for "Editor's Picks" and one for "New Releases" as well, where you can see what other people like or check out what's hot in the trends of the music industry.

    Your Library panel has three tabs, Albums, Playlists and Tracks. Here, you will find all your saved music and favorite artists. It is easy to navigate through all these with the back button from the top left corner. And, if you think the left menu is taking up space, you can always minimize it and see only the icons for navigation.

    Spotimo allows you to create as many playlists as you want in a great media player environment, bringing you closer to the music so dear to your soul. With this and all the other added features, Spotimo is a great alternative to the official Spotify client.
