  • Language 4 All does not appear to be a common dictionary tool where you look for a word that needs translation, but it's more like a support app for people who are trying to learn a new language and want to create lists with specifically translated words. Also, this tool can be used by teachers who want to create small dictionaries for students, as the lists can be exported, but to XLS only.

    The interface is kind of easy-to-use, but one has to figure it out first, as there are few hints on how to operate this app. Moving over, you can notice flags scattered all across the edges of the interface. Sadly the flags are graphical elements only, so they have no functionality.

    Also, the UI appears to be split in three sections: Links, Search For Your Word, and View Your Search Results. As this not an actual dictionary, but rather a medium for creating one, you have to go to Links to add words and languages that would later become some sort of dictionary.

    As mentioned before, you have to go to Links to start building your dictionary. The interface will change after accessing the section, offering the necessary tools to create a list with words and languages.

    Adding a language is very simple. Just write it, and add it. The words however need more of your attention, as you have to input the original ones and their translation in whatever language you've opted for. For example, if you build an English-French dictionary, the word cat has to be placed in the Primary section, while chat has to go to Translated.

    If you are looking for a basic dictionary app, Language 4 All is not the one. On the flip side, this tool can come in handy only if you want to create your own dictionary, in order to speed up your language-learning process, or if you want to help others with learning. Also, the contents can be exported, but to XLS only, so if you don't have MS Excel installed, you cannot export your work. Furthermore, regarding the functional aspect, the application froze a couple of times while testing and only the Task Manager was able to close it. In short, this app could use a bit more work before it can become 100% usable.
